Community
The stack doesn't build itself.
Open-source needs more than code. Review, teaching, forums, dev calls, community niches, and an ecosystem around every project. This is where that work happens and how to be part of it.
Where the community lives
Six doors, one community. Each one links out to where the conversation actually happens.
Built together
Industries have niches. This one has sub-communities: groups of builders who gather around one specific piece of the mining world. We don't run them and we don't direct them. We give them a platform: infrastructure to host, a nonprofit home, and a dedicated fund for donations.

Open Source Miners United
Where open-source mining hardware gets built.
OSMU is the informal network of developers behind most of the open-source mining hardware and software you know: Bitaxe, NerdAxe, AxeOS, Qaxe, Piaxe and more. Designs anyone can build, modify, and manufacture. No membership, no permission; it is a community, not an organization, and that is the point.

Hashrate Heatpunks
Mining heat is a product, not a problem.
Heatpunks are a community of home and business miners proving that the heat a miner produces is worth something. They build the guides, the standards, and the events that turn wasted heat into working heaters: water heating, space heating, dryers. What started as hobbyists piping miner exhaust through greenhouses is becoming a real industry segment, and Heatpunks are the group organizing it.
We host their infrastructure and steward both the OSMU and Hashrate Heatpunks funds: the community directs the work, the board approves every allocation, and donations go to the community's own priorities. More on our work →
A few times a year, the whole community mines together
Telehash is our occasional in-person mining fundraiser. We get together and livestream all day while the global community of supporters points their hashrate at our gamified instance of Hydrapool for a chance at a solo block to fund the Foundation. The first event found block 881423, seeding the funding for the core projects.
